Cyber Community Rooftop Night – Social Engineering in the Age of AI
July 16, 2026
starting at 6:00 p.m.
Ventum Consulting, Munich
When the caller sounds like your CEO
Social engineering has reached a new level in 2026: Attacks no longer appear suspicious, but rather completely authentic. AI generates voices, videos, and identities that are virtually indistinguishable from those of real colleagues—and it reaches employees simultaneously via email, text message, and WhatsApp. For CISOs, security awareness managers, and IT leaders, this means that human vulnerability is now the most critical factor, and generic awareness training sessions held once a year are no longer nearly enough. The question of the evening: What does security awareness look like when it’s as real and as role-specific as the attacks themselves? To explore this, we’re bringing together CISOs, awareness and IT managers from the Munich area—ranging from small and medium-sized businesses to large corporations.
Why This Event Is Crucial Right Now
- The Reality of Attacks: AI takes social engineering to a level that systematically circumvents existing control mechanisms and has already become part of day-to-day business
- Precision of Deception: Vishing , deepfake calls, and automatically generated identities enable precise, multi-stage attacks on decision-makers and critical roles—often without any technical indicators of compromise.
- Compliance Pressure: NIS2 and stricter governance requirements demand demonstrably effective human risk management.
- Awareness Gap: Traditional awareness programs no longer cover these developments and do not address role-based risks or the quality and speed of modern AI attacks.
