FAQs on the subject of CBAM Consulting
CBAM Consulting provides expert advice to companies on the implementation of the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism. This includes analyzing the impact, setting up compliance processes, obtaining supplier emissions data, reporting in the EU register and – if required – introducing software for automation. Ventum Consulting offers CBAM consulting and its own CBAM software (CORA) from a single source.
Any company that imports goods from the CBAM sectors (steel, iron, aluminium, cement, fertilizers, electricity, hydrogen) from non-EU countries. The obligation applies regardless of company size or import volume. Companies with complex global supply chains or a large number of affected suppliers are particularly affected.
Ventum Consulting is one of the few consultancies that combines CBAM consulting and its own CBAM software (CORA). We also have offices in China – a decisive advantage for direct supplier support in one of the most important procurement markets. For SAP-intensive companies, we also offer Celonis integration.
Without this status, importers will no longer be allowed to import CBAM goods into the EU from January 1, 2025. If you have not already done so, you should submit the application to your national authority (in Germany: DEHSt) immediately. Ventum Consulting will guide you through the entire application process.
From January 2026, the full CBAM system including mandatory certification will apply. The first annual CBAM report for 2026 must be submitted by May 31, 2027. The transition phase with quarterly reporting obligation ended on December 31, 2025.
Yes, CORA supports integration with SAP, SAP GTS and other source systems. For Celonis users, we offer the CBAM Control App as a native Celonis application. All data is stored on German servers.
